Like the European union has confirmed 118 cases of monkeypox; the United kingdom has confirmed 90 case; and the U.S. has confirmed 9 cases.The first  confirmed  case was on may 7th 2022 from a person who had traveled to the United kingdom from Nigeria. so far to date, there have been no reports of death. Monkeypox virus is not a sexually transmitted disease. The virus can spread  through any of sustained.

what's the symptoms of monkeypox virus

The symptoms of monkeypox are similar to those of smallpox. but monkeypox symptoms are typically milder. if you are infected with the virus. it has a very long period _and once it does enter the body. first it affects the internal organs. 

After you contract the monkeypox virus. it can take 5 to 21 days for the first symptoms to appear. it takes 7 to 14 days in many cases.

The early monkeypox symptoms include:

• Fever; which is commonly the first symptoms
• Headache
• Muscle aches
• Back ache
• Fatigue
• Chills
• Swollen lymph nodes,also known as lymphadenopathy

TREATMENT OF MONKEYPOX

Monkeypox symptoms often resolve on their own whitout the need for treatment. it is importent to take care of the rash by letting it dry if possible or covering with a moist dressing to protect the area if needed. Avoid touching any sores in the mouth or eyes.Mouth rinses and eye drops can be used as long as cortisone-containing products are avoided. Vaccine immune globulin (VIG) may be recommended for severe cases. An antiviral that was developed to treat smallpox (tecovirimat, commercialized as TPOXX) was also approved for the treatment of monkeypox in January 2022
